Sponsoring

1. DXpeditions supported by SDXF

  • DXpeditions to countries (entities) in the top 100 according to the current Clublog Most Wanted List, filtered by "Europe - EU West".
  • DXpeditions on IOTA island groups that were reached by less than 20% of the participants according to the Most Wanted List of the IOTA program.
  • Normally, a team is only supported once a year.
  • Pure contest expeditions are not supported.
  • "Holiday style" activities are not supported.

 

2. Supported DXpeditions must commit to the following standards

Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

  • The radio activities must comply with the license issued and the licenses of the OPs must be accepted by the responsible OFCOM.
  • The requirements of other official authorities must be met.
  • DXpedition must be accepted by the ARRL for the DXCC program.
  • The IARU band plans and the Code of Conduct must be followed, see https://www.iaru-r1.org/on-the-air/code-of-conduct/

QSL service

  • fast LoTW upload, can be linked to a fee
  • direct QSL shipping, can be linked to a fee
  • Free LoTW upload no later than 6 months after completion of DXpedition
  • Free QSL via buro for cards received in this way.

Application

The application must be received by the chairman of the sponsoring committee via email at least two months before the start of the DXpedition: sponsoring-request(at)sdxf.ch.

3. Assessment criteria of the sponsoring board

  • Rarity of the destination
  • Duration of DXpedition
  • Number of activated bands and modes
  • Equipment
  • Use of online logs / livestream (no criterion for IOTA expeditions)
  • Team: size and experience. Newcomers and young OPs in an experienced team are welcome.
  • Budget
  • personal contribution of the OPs

 

4. Sponsorship decision and payment

  • The sponsorship decision is available no later than one month after receipt of the application.
  • The payment of the promised support amount is usually made when DXpedition has become QRV.
