HB9DDO is Field Checker for:
- DXCC and other ARRL awards, see https://www.arrl.org/online-dxcc-application
- CQ WAZ Awards, see https://n4baa.com/cqwaz.html
Info: Even though the CQ magazine has ceased publication at the end of 2023, at least the WAZ dawards program lives on! There is still no successor solution for the other CQ awards.

Checklist:
- If possible, use the LoTW (Log of the World). It is the most elegant, quickest and cheapest way to increase your country status in the DXCC. The hit rate is also pleasingly high for connections made a long time ago. Even for long-ago DXpeditions (i.e. from the time before PC and Internet), some of the logs were recorded retrospectively and uploaded to the LoTW.
- Uses the ARRL DXCC online application system (https://easydxcc.arrl.org/). It is suitable for both the manual recording of QSOs and the upload of an ADIF file.
- Contact me by e-mail before you send an application to the post office. This applies in particular to more extensive applications (see above). In this way, any ambiguities can be clarified before the application is registered. This will also prevent your application from lying around with me for an unnecessarily long time (e.g. during vacation absences).
- Enclose a self-addressed, stamped reply envelope with the submitted QSL cards and the application form so that I can return your cards to you after they have been checked. The previously required stamped envelope to forward the application form signed by the card checker to the ARRL is no longer necessary. The ARRL will accept an electronic copy of the form.
